Inanna in Concert June 7

Welcome to Our Church!

When you come to this church you are likely to notice the age and beauty of the building. If you get a sense that this congregation has loved and cared for its church, your feeling will be right on target.

Walking in the door you'll be joining people who dress comfortably, stylishly or somewhere in between. They greet and talk to one another and they laugh often. You will see children playing. You will notice fliers for community activities and events taking place at the church because this building is used by many groups.

When you join us for coffee hour you may notice the china mugs and cloth napkins. These are the most visible evidence of our Green Sanctuary accreditation. We connect our spiritual practice with environmental consciousness and strive to create a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with the environment in all aspects of our church life.

We are growing congregation with over 100 members. As we grow we seek ways to maintain a sense of closeness while opening our doors and hearts to more people. We do that in many ways including circle suppers, adult education classes, pre-school play groups, Small Group Ministry. We are a growing church seeking ways to deeply explore what is spiritual and ethical, to serve the community, and to live our beliefs in the world.

Sunday Service 10 a.m.

May 11:  "Heart's Desires"
Rev. David W. Chandler

Mothers’ Day honors special people, but also a generative process – the creation, the birthing, the entrance into possibility. Deep in the spring and drawing closer to the summer, how are the dreams of the winter faring for us?
Church School.

May 4:  “What's On Second?”
Rev. David W. Chandler
The drawn-out Democratic primary seems to be obscuring the larger challenges of change. What happens after we elect a new president? What are our choices for the future? What could UUs be doing now, where we are?
Family Service.

April 27:  “Worthy Goals”
Rev. David W. Chandler
Is being a UU really too special to share? Or at least, to share with too many people at once? Our theology says no, but sometimes our attitudes and practices say yes. What is the true quality of our invitation to belong?
Church School.

April 20:  “Celebrating the Earth”
The Green Committee

With music and stories and special activities for all ages, we will celebrate our global home. Join us to welcome spring and share the joys and some challenges of living in balance with all on this glorious blue spinning ball.
Church School.

April 13:  "The Caring Congregation"
Rev. David W. Chandler

How does a nurturing community extend care to new people? Will all who need care be noticed? Will all able to give care be encouraged? We will explore the new ties among us that help answer “yes” to these questions.
Church School.
