| Our Symbol: The Chalice.
The
chalice, placed off-center within a double ring, is a combination of the Universalist
and Unitarian symbols. The Unitarian flaming chalice was created by Austrian
artist Hans Deutsch and was used by the Unitarian Service Committee as it official
logo to help Jews escape from Nazi Germany. Serving as a symbol of holiness
and service, it continues to symbolize Unitarian Universalism. |
